He said Cotto is really angry and eager to heal fast so he can get in the ring as fast as posibble.

From what he told me, the atmosphere wasnt like when Cotto lost to margo that everyody was down and dissapointed, he said that Cotto is really eager to go and kick ass. He is very angry at himself, for choosing the wrong game plan. Cotto is mad and pissed and not dissapointed nor discourage, he looks like a man on a mission. Miguel also said he lost to a great one last saturday, so he will leave it at that.
Cotto would have lost whatever he did, he's just not on Pacs level.

Even if Cotto stuck and moved, Pac would have made him fight. In fact I think the only reason Cotto opened up was becasue he needed to rally from Pacquiao's flurries. Only reason Pac had trouble cornering Cotto in the later stages was that he was trying to decapitate Cotto with every punch. Other than that, Pac was still timing Cotto beautifully.

I'm glad Cotto is eager to get back into it. I think the Margarito fight was harder to take because:

      a) He knew was the better fighter and was suppose to beat Margarito.

      b) He was winning the fight and had it slipped away.

I think he respects Pac's skills a great deal and that's why the hunger did not recede.

This is the **** right there! Green k sent!

Thanks for the positive news. I hope Cotto is going back to being himself.

The same idiots that said Cotto was done after margarito and Clottey and Pacquiao will keep saying it 2 yrs from today. Cotto might not beat Pacquiao, but by 2011 he is owning some welterweight's belt. Take that to the bank.

cool.....still think he should take some light fights to rebuild some confidence and gain some momentum going into big fights.....Cotto didn't have enough time to rebuild AFTER the Marg fight.....it showed in the Clottey fight.....and it was in full display against Pac......takin' NOTHING from Pac because I'm convinced he'd beat Cotto any given night......but it would have been way more tougher to do!!......I got nothing but the upmost respect for Cotto!!.....get some light work my dude!!

It's expected...lol. At least you and Street are honest about it. Man, hating is like drinking a bottle of poisen hoping your intended victim will die. I'm over the margo thing...though i like to get a sarcastic little "jab" in there now and then, I don't hate the guy any more. He isn't worth the waste of emotion.

Get over it! Lol...Geeez, you'd think Cotto ****d these guys sisters or something...

Yup, it didn't take long. It happened in the second round. Manny got to him then you could see it in Cotto's eyes. Miguel wanted to hit Manny back just a little bit harder. So they traded. Miguel landed and so did Manny. But during those exchanges you could literally see Miguel slowing down. He looked confused as to where the shots were coming from. Miguel is a fighter, he got into heated exchanges with Manny and it cost him.

^^^Agreed. Cotto has too long been his own trainer, and once his opponent starts to show any sign of dominence, Cotto starts losing his confidence fast. Although he did get a few good shots in, and looked pretty good very early in the fight, Cotto just doesn't have the emotional fortitude Manny has.

Manny is a very disciplined fighter, and he has an upper edge...he absolutley LOVES to fight! I was very surprised to see Cotto not press it when he did have Manny in a little trouble very early on, he let him recover. Big mistake. Man, when Manny invited Cotto to slug him with his best body shots and Manny just stood there, it blew me away.

No matter what Cotto did or how much he weighed, he would have lost. He didn't have a good game plan, and if he did, he didn't stick to it, and his corner needs to be literally kicked to the ***in curb. He needs to re-invent himself with a really good trainer and new team. And keep the family out of it. Plus some re-constructive surgery on the nose and cut from Clottey, as I've posted before.
