LOL, like what Cotto was doing late. Cotto was in the best condition I've seen him backpedalling like that after getting beat for three to four straight rounds...

I was surprised by the defense more than the tactic, I didn't think Manny had that good of defense and it just officially proved to me that he has become an all around fighter, the guy can do it all.

imho, that was a ****** move, he could've beaten cotto alot easier and he didn't have to take damage

That's the thing, in the interview he was like "I was just testing his power, it hurt but I pretended it didn't just to mind**** Cotto"

Not in those same words of course, but still.

I have a feeling Manny was amazed by getting hit by the power of a middleweight like Shawn Porter and wanted to see if Cotto could replicate it, so could test his punch resistance. Manny is a sadistic mfr

He did slip them in a few times when Manny's guard wasn't tight enough, he just doesn't have the arm strength that Clottey does to hold it tight, but since he's not as bulky his elbows can block alot more.

Word. That is exactly the "habbit" that Roach noticed in Cotto. If Cotto doesn't think his punches are affecting you he starts boxing to conserve energy, normally it works. It did against Mosley, Clottey and from the beginning it was killing Marg, but its apparent that Cotto wasn't a good enough boxer to do that against Manny. Cotto CAN box very well, but not against a guy whose as fast as Manny, boxing Marg is a totally different situation than trying to outbox Manny. Who throws the same number of punches, but much much faster and it worked like a charm.
