^^^^ that's it. It would be a good match up with the different styles.

And if Khan's punch resistance is better at the higher weights, then it would be closer than people think.

Roach knows Cotto's game inside out. If Khan keeps his range he could well inflict a lot of punishment.

Roach said it best: Cotto is finished.

          Harsh but true.

No chance unless Khan vs Cotto is in a few years when Cotto is past it which nobody wants to see.

This is a bad fight for Khan, Cotto would walk him down I feel, Khan doesn't have the power to keep Cotto off.

If Khan pulls off the fight of his life, using evasion tactics, AND gets lucky and opens up some cuts on Cotto it is winnable, Cotto seems to have lost some speed, and possibly even his power is on the wane.
We do not know what sort of damage Pacquiao has done, you cannot take severe beatings like that without consiquence. But khan would be a massive underdog, and with good reason.

I think in a few fights Cotto won't be past it, but he will be much more beatable to an opponent like Khan.

And with Roach in his corner and the inevitable improvements Khan will make, then it's possible Khan beats him in 1.5/2 years down the line.

He'll want to take a fight at a higher weight eventually, so maybe Cotto is winnable and will look good on his record?

It would set up bigger things for him.

And his speed and movement together with Roach's tactics should cause Cotto a lot of problems.
                    khan'll get KTFOd.

It is possible that Khan has a better chin at this weight, that along with the fact that he doesnt rush in with his chin hanging out, might mean he is able to take at least the odd hard shot.

Cotto was mostly landing one punch on Pacquiao, combinations are a different story.

In the Prescott fight, I recall Khan took quite a lot of flush power shots in a very short space of time. Had he taken just one shot, gone down, taken the 8 count and switched into defensive mode, clinching and what-not for the remainder of the round it's possible he would have recovered, Instead he rushed in and was cut down.
