Why do fans/boxers keep saying Manny Pacquiao is on steroids?

I mean he was fighting at 106 when he was 16 so it's natural for him to grow a few pounds a year. Heck I think I gained 20 pounds in a 1 or 2 year span.

What is it? Are there just haters cause people never seen anything like this before?

I mean do steroids really help you take punches? That was basically what Malignaggi was referring to. His ability to take the punch cause he was on something. Do you guys really believe he is on it?

The better someone is, the more hate he will get. It takes a truly great fighter to get hated as much as Pac.

Personally I like the theory that his weight draining kept his muscles from developing as well as they could have, and now that he's fighting closer to his walk-around weight the problems have ceased. Granted, the accusations and circumstancial evidence are enough to make one think abuot it, but I'd much rather not think he's on steroids.

If that were to come out it would be a bomb like we've not seen in a good while.

Yeah I don't think the moving up in weight is a big deal. He was 16 when he weighed in at 106. If he gained about 3 pounds per year for 14 years (since hes 30) he should be around 148 pounds now. That makes sense. I feel like he was struggling with weight when he fought Larios and Barrera for the 2nd time. Now hes faster and stronger than he ever was

When one person makes everyone else in the game look less significant by taking things to a level everyone else is striving to reach but can't, the reaction is to discredit that person in any way possible to make yourself feel better.

Insecurity. Jealousy. Bitterness. Ego. Take your pick.

Well TBH i never rated Cotto's power that much to begin with, so even though im shocked Manny was able to walk him down and take some good shots, he is not exactly a devastating puncher anyway.

But we have seen something like this before. Floyd Mayweather jr also fought at 106lbs when he was 16 and is the same size as Pacquiao according to *****s. But he's been fighting at higher weights much earlier and taking punches from much larger fighters than Pacquiao. as high as 154. There's gotta be somethin illegal behind that.
