The people agreeing with this catchweight bull**** are making themselves look like they don't want this fight to jump off. It's more about hating Floyd, than it is about the good of boxing. I think some people's hate for Floyd, blinds their supposed "love" for boxing. Don't get that twisted, though. There are also a ton of intolerable Floyd fans that are making this site difficult to keep coming back to.

I'm confused as to why Scaeffer is even involved. What about Mayweather Promotions? How ignorant is Mayweather to be asking for more money and then turn around and give it to Golden Boy for nothing. Think about this for a second. This fight is going to sell out the live gate regardless. It is going to break PPV records regardless. So think of this hypothetical equations.

Purses 40 Million

Paquiao 20 million
Mayweather 20 million


PPV 2 million buys at 60 bucks equal 120 million in revenue

On Demand 60 million
Arum 24 million
Pacquiao 6 million
Mayweather 30 million

that shows OD getting 30 dollars of every buy and the promotional partners splitting the balance at 15 dollars per buy. Then Arum cuts Manny in on his 15 dollars at 3 dollars give or take(use your own number as this is a hypothetical). Mayweather would be left with 15 dollars of every buy. If he cuts Golden Boy you better know that they would want at least 7.50 dollars a buy of Mayweathers nut cutting Mayweather's PPV upside from 30 mill to 15 mill.

It is just plain ****** when Top Rank and HBO are going to promote the hell out of this thing anyway and this thing is going to sell anyway. What it really tells me is that Mayweather has signed papers with Golden Boy quietly and is really a Golden Boy fighter. Mayweather Promotions is just a name.
