BTW, this kid is a solid prospect. He's fighting the type of fighters he needs to to prepare for the elite. Theres talk of him and a fight with Berto next year. And for the JCC JR haters...

Saul Canelo Alvarez has been calling out JCC JR on nation Mexican TV for a while now.

thanks for the video dude that was cool

That's good because Pacquiao is an inspiration to young prospects out there..But I think Pac will not waste his time on fighting pointless fights because he knows eventually he'll lose to a young and hungry fighter someday like he did against MAB.Last fight against either Fraud/Mosley/Marquez then retire..

This kid at least is fighting guys with very decent records. Of course the record doesn't mean anything, he is 19 and it seems he is doing what he should have learnt on the amateurs, but on the pros and fighting a lot. Looking at his record it seems he is slowly fighting better guys, so that's good, and i like the fact that he is talking about Pacquiao, and challenged Chavez Jr. ...he seems to be a guy that is willing to fight anyone on the future, and that is what boxing needs.
I really don't know if this guy will be the real deal because he is still too green, but it seems he does have the talent to be at least a beltholder on the future.

He had like 200 amateur fights before he turned pro at 15

After he had no rivals in the amateurs in Mexico his last fight was versus a Middleweight because nobody wanted to fight him, Alvarez destroyed him,

And his team took the decision to make his Pro Debut at 15.

"Hablar del pelirojo de Saul “El Canelo” Alvarez es hablar de todo un proceso que ha tenido en Tepic en sus inicios profesionales que debutó a los 15 años, pero hay un historia amateur que podríamos resumir que fue medalla de plata en el 2003 y medalla de oro en el 2004 en la que en este proceso olímpico juvenil tuvo más de 200 peleas amateur que le dieron su técnica y su experiencia que hoy refleja arriba del cuadrilátero"

This guy is dreaming, and if he ever fights Pacman, he'll be dreaming some more. I've seen Saul fight and raw is the best I can say. He has struggled in several fights against lesser opposition. Slow of foot with a weak jab, afraid to duck, but looking to counter. Lets see him with Kermit maybe?

Alvarez believes that in four or five fights, he will be ready to fight and beat Manny Pacquiao. During a recent interview, WBC president Jose Sulaiman told Mexican reporters that he believes Alvarez will be ready to fight Pacquiao in a year. There is no question that Alvarez is a talented prospect but he won't be nowhere near ready in four or five fights for boxer on the level of Pacquiao. [details]
Alvarez will be dropped within 6 rds, he should fight someone outside of Mexico first and see how he does. At 19, he has not the experience nor the ability to test Pacman, he is letting his unbeaten record go to his head.

                  ***EDIT***
After watching that highlight video, he gets dropped in the 2nd or 3rd round at best. He is too wide, too slow, and too off balance...he has no chance. Not to say he has no skills but not against Pacquiao
