Regardless of record if you beat the champion you become the Champion

    Vernon Forest
Ricardo Mayorga ( WBC , WBA , IBF welterweight title )
    Cory Spinks
    Zab Judah
    Carlos Baldomir

and Yes Floyd Mayweather became the Linear Champion after beating Baldomir. Damn i hate to say that. lol

          He was.

He wasn't that good, but being the true lineal champ of a division doesn't necessarily mean you're the best fighter.

RAN????...u mean he used great ring generalship to dominate baldomir?

since when did using "Clean punching, effective aggression, ring generalship, and defense" become running?

I wonder how you run landing over 100 punches more than the other fighter??

Baldomir weighed 20 lbs more than Mayweather....why would be stand and trade when he can easily out box him?

Floyd Outlanded Baldomir 199-79 in total punches, landing 43% to Baldomir’s 12%.

Baldomir landed single digits in 11 of 12 rounds.

              Floyd also landed 51% of his power shots, including 67% in 8th (8 of 12) and 64% in 9th (16 of 25).

              Scoring: 120-108, 120-108 &,118-110

thank you---just showing these losers what the truth really looks like---floyd dominated carlos in easy fashion by just outboxing him, and he staggered carlos in round 6 during a flurry---floyd could've opened up more had he wanted to, but chose to easily outbox this guy and win a title in the meantime--i mean, he makes it looks so easy--

Floyd got on his bike when he was heavier than Marquez.

i guess this is another episode where we all take something legitimate that a fighter does, like win a linear championship, critisize it, and get as many people as you can to agree with you. Who can defend it and who can rip on it. I wonder if you guys get tired of this charade.
