If Cotto is going to fight either man it should be the loser...

Cotto vs. Berto sounds nice if Berto is in fact the loser.

However, if he loses then his career is probably over and he could very well lose
Nah, that's not a good fight for Cotto. If he's rusty, he could be out boxed. Maybe I'm just REALLY high on Bradley, but I don't think Cotto should fight anyone that skilled until he has a tune up.

The comeback fight should be against Collazo or somebody like that. A WW that isn't a big puncher, isn't a pressure fighter, and contrary to popular opinion, isn't entirely slick.

Than fight Berto/Mosley. Cotto brings $$$, so he'll always get a big fight if he's physically able.

mosley in 2007 , margarito in 2008 , clottey and pacquiao in 2009......

cotto is entitled to a year of powderpuffs.

fight a couple of tuneups in puerto rico and new york.

he needs to get his confidence back.

that is lame, that goes against everything miguel cotto is about. miguel needs a big win to get back on the map, not this michael jennings level ****. the only reason he fought jennings is cause it was for a vacant title.

miguel is about fighting the best welterweights in the world, and i ****ing believe that, cause he has proven it. miguel won't take any easy fights, he will take the best he can get and i believe he will win.

Cotto definitely can make a comeback as long as he gets an experienced trainer to maximize his potential.

Im 50/50 on Bradley. I use to think he was the best thing ever but I think he couldve lost both to Nate & Holt if things had went differently. Thats why he's dropped alot in my eyes now. Still, I agree that he could be great. However, Cotto shouldnt be rusty at all. Most are just worried about a puncher like you said and Bradley shouldnt be able to hurt him. Also, Collazo is obviously much better than you think and I think he's actually a much harder fight at WW than Bradley. I think Collazo is a beast and that Southpaw style will give Cotto problems just like it always does. He doesnt have to worry about that against Bradley but again, he could still get his ass whooped

see if he has anything left.

if he struggles with some tuneup then he knows for sure.

I just think Collazo is more of a tough, unorthodox guy, while Bradley is highly skilled.

Against Collazo, worst case scenario is Cotto beats him but just doesn't look good doing it. I don't see any scenario where Collazo can beat Cotto, pretty much any version of Cotto.

I can see Bradley outboxing Cotto if Cotto is real rusty. But again, that's probably just me being REALLY high on Bradley.

I'm not suggesting he take easy fights just to waste time, but he and his new trainer will need time to gel. that's all the 3-4 tune ups is for... he should fight 3-4x next year and **** hbo dates... he jst needs time with his new trainer.

it would be ****** for cotto to get a new trainer and then immediately jump into another tough fight when cotto and his new trainer haven't had time to get used to each other and have confidence in each other.
