The showdown, should it happen, could come as soon as early May. But Mayweather has long been criticized for avoiding the most challenging opponents, and already some in his camp appear to be looking for ways out of the bout. Mayweather's father, Floyd Sr., told SI he would advise his son not to face Pacquiao, saying that he believed Pacquiao's ability to absorb Cotto's shots and keep coming is proof that Pacquiao is taking performance-enhancing substances -- an accusation for which he had no proof. "I know Floyd is the best," says Mayweather Sr. "But when [your opponent] uses something illegal, even the best can get hurt."

I'm confused, I always saw steroids as a ''shortcut'', meaning that they wouldn't allow you to get any bigger than you could get with hard work.
I don't think Pacquiao is freakishly big anyway. Pacquiao has shocked/impressed me this year but I don't know how people think steroids it the answer for his achivements.
Against DLH he was in and out punching and not getting hit.
Against Hatton, he clubbed him out early, caught him clean. To be expected.
Against Cotto, he rocked him in the fourth and didn't let him recover.Comment

The shoulder roll doesn't work on southpaws using straight or looping lefts. Not to mention shoulder rolls makes gayweather open for right hooks from the southpaw stance.Comment

Floyd Sr. uses the steroids excuse because of his jealousy of Pac's accomplishment, something that his son could never attain. As far as him saying that Floyd Jr. shouldn't fight Pac, that's a clear admission that he thinks Pac will beat his son.Comment
