Who didn't he fight? A lot can be said about Oscar, and about how he lost against the best on that list, but still. Are you kidding? It's the best quality of competition ever, IMO.

What's crazier is the man was never really KOed or even out on his feet during his career. The KO to Hopkins was a body shot and the TKO to Manny was accumulation. His chin was incredible.

Where I salute Oscar the most is not only his willingness to fight the best, but his willingness to fight like a warrior. Outside of the Trinidad fight where he coasted, Oscar was all heart in the ring and showed it at all times. That win against Vargas was like Mosley's against Margarito. Everyone was on their feet and clamoring for the KO. Oscar just willed his way to that KO, and I'll never forget.

Now that Oscar's career is over, I think it's time we step back and remember him for what he did for this sport. Incredible career.

People also forget that before Oscar, money like Manny and Mayweather are getting wasn't heard of for fighters their size. He opened up doors and showed the world the light to the lower divisions. I'm forever grateful, as all boxing fans should be.
I agree 100%. This is an Oscar tribute thread.
