If I was so good that people actually thought I was cheating? I'd take that as a compliment. Floyd Sr is the only one that raised the q's tho so there's an issue with credibility there. I think it is more that he is just protective over his son and may be a little paranoid. Someone planted the seed in his head a while ago and he just cannot shake it.
