IF Mayweather/Pacquiao happens who will the British fans root for?

As per Mayweather's recent comments in the Sky Sports interview, it sounds like he has a particular affection towards the British fans. Also, since that open gym workout, it sounds as though the British fans have also taken an interest in Mayweather. It's hard to imagine IMO a fan without a nationalistic connection to either fighter would like Mayweather more. So I'm wondering who everyone thinks the British fans would really be rooting for if this fight goes down? Poll to follow.

Yeah but don't Brit's like the action packed style of Pacquiao? And the fact that Hatton and Pac currently have a better than Hatton and Mayweather? My only rationale is that Hatton fans took Mayweather in right after he beat Hatton and they like that he did all the media there since.

the rationale is that mayweather destroyed hatton first.....when everybody there thought hatton was a god....he was undefeated until he met floyd.

by the time pacman got a hold to hatton, he was damaged goods, and he had already been KO'ed before.

well im not British... but Mayweather seems to be pretty cool with the Uk since he has said that he would like to fight there and I think he also said a while ago that he wanted to live there or something and he just generally seem to be cool with the Uk. so if I'm thinking that if I was British then I'd root for Mayweather.

i've never met a single brit who hates pacquiao. no one held the hatton beatings against mayweather or pacman

I think alot of brits would like to see Manny Pacquiao win but Floyd does have alot of fans in the UK. I'd be a nuetrel cos a fan of both, and just hope it's a good fight and the best fighter on the night wins.

Im a brit and cant ****ing stand Floyd.

But i believe many young Brits like David Haye, Hamed, and Eubank because they are show off, arrogant entertainers.

When i went to watch Hatton - Pac i just wanted the best man to win. But other Hatton fans after he was KO'd were already wanting Floyd to beat Pac.

Britain loved Ali when America was still hating him. Maybe its a cultural thing. Brits are conservative and like loud mouth entertainers. Americans are loud and prefer more humble fighters?

That is nonsense. Most british boxing fans hate Mayweather because he is an *******,and just about every boxing fan and non boxing fan thinks Pacquiao is brilliant. Most here appreciate the fact that he is a beast inside and a gentleman outside the ring. Floyd made himself look like a right **** when he was here last.
