In swimming the top 10 p4p of 2009 wouldn't look worse than it did 10 years ago. That's obviously not the case in boxing where many of the same fighters who were top 10 a decade ago still dominate over younger fighters and the quality in general was better.

Would you say that the overall quality today is better than 30 years ago? When you had fighters like Sugar Ray Leonard, Thomas Hearns, Marvin Hagler, Roberto Duran, Michael Spinks, Larry Holmes, Alexis Arguello, Aaron Pryor, Salvador Sanchez, Wilfredo Gomez dominating the rankings?

    Today's top 10 p4p:

    1. Manny Pacquiao
    2. Floyd Mayweather Jr.
    3. Shane Mosley
    4. Bernard Hopkins
    5. Juan Manuel Marquez
    6. Nonito Donaire
    7. Miguel Cotto
    8. Celestino Caballero
    9. Chad Dawson
    10. Paul Williams

Speed of hand dont mean **** when you are as consistent as Foreman he will get to you eventually, Lewis was not exceptionally quick anyway imo.

Lewis was pretty much a stationary target, what happens when he gets tired from all the pressure Foreman is putting him under ?
Which Lewis are you talking about? Prime or past-prime?

About as bad as saying the original 1980's Nintendo console was overrated because consoles of today are much more technically advanced.

Either, Lewis never used his legs that much like an Ali, Holmes, Mayweather.

Ah...if we go way back...yeah...I think many are overrated if we stick them into today's game. And that's away from the speculation of what they would be like today with modern training, etc. because we are just sticking with what they were.

Some of the fighters today though aren't that great either but some of them are very good.

                Neither did Jimmy Young.

                  Personally i think yes....

Not all of them, i mean, the top 10 ATG's have a fair enough place....top 15 possibly

But Still i think people dont give any1 now adays a chance.... today should be better then back in the day if anything, new training regimes, strength and conditioning workouts....

Its like football, you put Christiano Ronaldo into pele's time or maradonnas and he would run rings around people....

Yet he will never be known as the best footballer ever...

So my actual answer would be, yes in some cases

I think he was running out of stamina against Mavrovic and it's not like Mavrovic was putting much pressure on him.

Jimmy Young had good ring generalship though, he knew how to negotiate his way around the ring and use to his advantage, he was also a lot quicker than Lewis and better defensively.

Lewis would be favourite to win but its 60/40 fight imo. I can easily see Foreman winning.
