Cotto took the fight at 145 cause he had to to get the money, pure in simple and he's a man of his word so he kept it even if it was to his disadvantage. It's true that he didn't have any power or stamina for the duration of the fight, but that was the whole idea behind Roach's strategy.

Unfortunately for Miguel finding out the hard way that was the strategy and didn't think those two extra pounds would effect'm that way, but it did.

Cotto should've agreed to the catch weight, came in at 147, paid the fine and beat the hell outta manny just like floyd's gonna do. There ain't no way in hell floyd's gonna come in weight drained with no power n stamina to let manny and Roach ruin his career cause he's too kind (like Miguel) to let'm **** himself out of millions in the future.

I say Manny n Roach give Cotto a rematch at 147 or Cotto just pay the fine and break manny's ribs nextime. Weight drain my ass, because 1lb will make such a difference. Cotto look awesome up until the 6th round, after that, it was downhill. BTW, Manny was at Cotto's Clottey fight, they already had decided to fight Cotto even before the fight was over. Since when was 145 a weight class? History will tell us that Pacquiao needed to drain a faded fighter of two extra pounds just to assure that he would claim victory.He couldn't meet the man and challenge for his title at the welterweight limit,he would rather claim a tainted win rather than a legitimate win.
