He's one-dimensional? He's overrated? Then why the hell fight him?!! Basically Floyd deserves no credit for a victory over Pacquiao now. You know what we'll hear if he wins: "I just beat the best P4P. Manny is one hell of as fighter, tough as nails!"
Talk about shooting yourself in the foot. He should have said Manny is a true great, and to solidify his own standing as an ATG he needs to beat him. You don't need **** talk to sell a fight. Pacquiao-Cotto proved it. Both of them left the trash talk to other people and let their hands do the talking in ring.

Its the same in competitive sports. You see it all the time "their defense aint ****" "that b!tch cant defend me!" etc.
Regardless, you say "you dont need to talk trash to sell a fight". But undeniably, mayweathers antics generate more revenue then any other fight, because it generates a level of interest that no other fighter can at the moment. Mayweather vs any humble personality is ALWAYS going to sell more than two humble personalities together.
its about making money, and i think like many fans, you fall into this idea that fighters should think and act a certain way. These people punch each other in the face for a living, and the idea that just because floyd is flamboyant and willing to perpetuate ignorant statements once in awhile, means that he should go to some boxing charm school and be a certain way is just meaningless.
Hes the most discussed fighter on this board, and if you havent noticed, every anticipated matchup in and around the division, is himself vs whoever. In this instance, pac the humble hero vs mayweather the loudmouth jerk. It sparks interest because if everyone just sat around congratulating each other or only throwing a few jabs here and there, thats nowhere near as interesting as mayweather ripping an all time great as "easy work".
Untimely, you will buy the ppv, you will watch it, and you will come back on here and comment, thats all pac and mayweather care about. interest.

I'm not saying that floyd should say, "PAC is better than me"...All I'm saying is that he should show pac some respect the way cotto and pac did w/ each other....Is it that hard for him to acknowledge the accomplishments of others???
