Hell no on Manny Steward that would end up making Cotto worse, Manny is good with outside fighters and to me Cotto is not a superior outside fighter.

      ****m maybe

Nacho would probably be alright but I don't know what he could do for him at this point

Just throwing names out there and I doubt Cotto will change trainers again.

Joe Santiago can be on his team but dude needs to not be his top trainer. Joe had always been on his team and got bumped up after the issue with Evangelista.

It was a failed experiment best to cut his loses and move on, to me Ann Wolfe is outside the box but she is pretty much exactly what Cotto needs.

If he is not willing to really make the tough choices like this then to me it will be very hard for him to come back as a true elite fighter.

Not sure if changing his trainer would have made that much of a difference. Sure Anne Wolfe may have improved Cotto's stamina, but i don't think it would have improved his offense/defense against Pac-man. Manny's speed and his ability to throw punches from different angles still would have been a problem for Cotto.

Also she is not really training anyone major currently (that I am aware of anyways) so she could focus on Cotto.

Those guys might be alright to, but the main thing is I think Cotto needs to be pushed in camp to go at a pace that is way beyond what he is used to.
I think Wolfe is a good choice to push him to new heights, I just think his latino machismo won't allow him to let a woman boss him around.

              I wouldn't either tbh...

I doubt he'll replace Santiago. Santiago should be convincing him right now that he didn't expect manny to be this strong. a trainer has to be ready for everything it was no time in his career for bringing in a rookie. no one can really slug it out with pac. Maybe a Valero, but he only fights 1 rounds so you sont know whats his stamina like.

His latino machismo didn't keep him from running from a midget.

It may not have you are right, but to me one of the glaring flaws with Cotto is that he gets drawn into a pace that is not good for him then even though he can keep up for a while he slowly crumbles until totally falling apart.

How to fix this is to train like a wildman and be prepared for the worst possible outcome. Manny trains like a wildman, if you train like that a fight is easier then the training. That is a big part of Anne Wolfes training method and to me this was one of the real difference between Manny and Cotto on fight night manny was prepared to fight 12 rounds at a super high pace, Cotto was prepared to fight 12 rounds at his pace.

Also to me Ann Wolfe is an upgrade in every area over Santiago.

Touche....but I think if Cotto was positive Manny had a vagina, he wouldve fought harder.
