Rumors of Pacquiao-Cotto Rising to 2 Million PPV Buys from Reliable Sources

I'm not one to spread rumors or lies... that is "Rigordo's" job.
I've just received word from a very reliable source connected to the distributing cable companies of this recent "Fire-power" event featuring Manny Pacquiao vs. Miguel Cotto has reached Pay-Per-View figures that are mind-blowingly high.
It seems as though the boxing fan has continued their education as they are indeed no dummies when it comes to shelling out for fights deemed as more than Pay-Per-View worthy.
Word has it that the final tally for Pacquiao vs. Cotto has skyrocketed past it's predicted 1.2 or 1.3 million household projected and hit that vaunted 2 million mark.
This is astounding being that neither fighter was a native english speaker and neither man was considered truly accepted by the domestic, U.S. public.
If this figure is indeed correct as it very well might be... Pacquiao definitely possesses the advantage when coming to the negotiating table across from Floyd Mayweather Jr.
We must remember, De la Hoya was needed to boost that Mayweather fight figure to 2.4 million. Prior to the fight with Oscar, Floyd never even broke the 500,000 buy range barrier while De la Hoya had surpassed 900,000 on numerous occassions. As for Miguel Cotto, his highest grossing Pay-Per-View bout was with Antonio Margarito which reached the 500,000 buy range last July.
Pacquiao is obviously the draw and the powers that be should give thanks to social networking sites Facebook and Twitter for helping them push this fight to numbers it otherwise would have never seen.
Yes, the internet has finally made it's presence felt in the promotion of a major fightcard.
