That is how negotiations go you start off with high maybe unreasonable demands to come down to a more reasonable numbers. Manny's side is doing the same exact thing, both sides want the best possible deal and will fight tooth and nail for every aspect.

In negotations you can always settle for less, but it is very hard to get more once the otehr side know you will accept less. Starting at the ammount you want is foolish because you can never get a better offer then what you want, but if you start off asking for jsut what you want you are actually very unlikely to even get that.

Base it on NOW, not yesterday, because he didn't pull the same amount as he pulled with Oscar as he did with Marquez. You also need to factor in Pacquiao's drawing power. The draw he is NOW, not yesterday, not when he fought Marquez two years ago. Things change.
