But why didn't Mayweather make the weight against Marquez?

If You can't trust Floyd coming bigger, he might as well ask him to come down just one pound. Manny on the other hand needs the speed. His speed is much needed vs Mayweather. Manny manage to beat Oscar, but Oscar is too slow. he was old. Hatton fight was at 140. And Cotto moved down and was already tired by the 6th round.

No Mannys speed is key for him. He has only fought two guys above 140. Slow old Oscar and 6 round Cotto. Two pounds against Mayweather mean more to him than for Floyd.

        No, but it's some bull****.

Roach needs to have some confidence in Pacquiao.

They need to fight at 147.

green k man, atleast some pac fans agree.

i think the split needs to be 40/40 and 20 to the winner

Don't you have confidence in Floyd. Wasn't Floyd going to fight Marquez at 144 and came at 146.

                Confidence in Floyd?

                I don't even like Floyd.

The fight is a toss up for me.

But Pacquiao's a big boy now, we saw what he can do at WW.

cant answer your first question. all we can do is speculate as to why he didnt make weight. im not gonna make any excuses for floyd. he shoulda made the weight. but marquez wasnt beating floyd at 145 either.

as for the cotto fight, pacman proved he was able to take a welterweight punch. i think its clear mayweather isnt going to knock him out at 145 or 147. pacman can still come in at 144 and keep his power and speed while mayweather comes in at 146-147 at his best. i could see if floyd was a major power puncher but thats not the case here.

What can he do? Anyone would've pick that De La Hoya apart he was slow too damn slow. Pacquiao would've weigh-in 150 and he be still too fast for him.

He fought Hatton at 140 so that doesn't count.

That leaves only Cotto who was 146 and came at 145. So Pacquiao fought at 145 fighter and is asking another 146 guy to make weight. A fighter like Floyd that cheated making weight vs Marquez. So its fair.
