Thats the best deal to me. I dont think the 50/50 thing is going to work and even though Floyd will get the blame for it, I know he wont move. People think Pac can just go anywhere and do anything but Arum runs that show and he knows that Pac could soon retire or just lose to someone lesser than Floyd for only a quarter of that money so why risk it? Arum is going to take this fight before anyone. He may talk all that other stuff but he's by far the greediest guy in the whole group. You seriously think that he's going to risk Pac fighting a guy like Valero? or even a tough guy like Mosley for half the money he would make against Floyd? Why would he do that?
Also, everyone thinks the ball is in Floyd's court but its not. Floyd was retired for 2 years and has only had 1 fight since while Pac has been on the scene throught and killing cats. Everyone thinks that mean Floyd needs it more but this is the mainstream were talking about. Boxing insiders may not like Floyd but if Pac chose someone else right now then the public would be really dissapointed and he would get most of the blame because he's the one who's been front & center the most. Floyd hasnt been. He's had 1 match in 2 years. Say what you want about Pac's legacy but if this fight doesnt come off and Pac makes another match then the "mainstream" will say that Pac is scared. Are you guys crazy? Did you guys miss the chants after the fight? "We Want Mayweather". Even Pac's own fans would be dissapointed if it didnt come off and Im not talking about the people on here.
Everyone assumes that Floyd is the desperate one and he's the one thats going to look bad but its not true. Pac could even fight a monster like Mosley but you think the mainstream cares about Mosley? All they know right now is Pac-Mayweather and they wont settle for anything else even if he's fighting a beast like Mosley. I think Pac-Mosley would take a dip in numbers simply for that single fact even though its supposed to be a mega match. The fact is, that its not Floyd-Pac. Then you have everyone listening to Roach after the fight in the ring saying they want Floyd and everyone saw the post fight presser where they said they want Floyd. People would be really dissapointed if it doesnt come off.
Also, one thing that is real strange to me is the Pac fans & Floyd haterz on here. All the time people have been dissin Floyd non stop. Now here is the fight everyone wants to see and they start making excuses about how Floyd doesnt deserve it or even if he wins, that still doesnt make him great. What kind of cowardly talk is that from fans? Floyd fans dont think like that? They dont even really talk about losing. They just talk about making the fight. Every other fight Pac talks about, everyone loves it. Now this is the #1 fight by far and its like his fans & Floyd haterz dont want it to happened or they are already making excuses if Pac loses. Its like they all cant take the thought of there hero losing to public enemy #1. That eats you guys up. The whole time a ton of those same cats where saying that Pac kills Floyd and that Floyd would never fight him. Now its all about how he doesnt deserve it and even if he wins, he's not greater than Pac. Get real man.
Thats what you guys want people to beleive but winning tops everything and you guys are cowards for not wanting the fight, cowards for already talking about Pac losing, and fools if you think people will rate Pac higher than a 41-0 man who beat him in his prime and is considered the best P4P. I dont care what the resume's are. People rememer what they see in the ring and this isnt going to be a matchup of old vs young, big vs small, or out of prime vs in prime. If Floyd beats him clearly and without running then everyone will think he's a better all time fighter, no matter if you want to admit it or not. No one will forget that, e****ally the mainstream. The bottom line is that Floyd should probably get anywhere from 52-55% and the fight should be at 146. That way its still not a 147 pound fight for Pac and its only one pound higher than his previous fight. Floyd also can surely make 146. Everybody wins. Pac aint starving with 45-48% of the cake. He will be living larger than Floyd in Manilla or wherever
