What is Cotto's Race?

I read that 80% of PRs describe themselves as white, racially. Cotto (whom I'm a big fan of) while not dark skinned, definetly does not appear "white" or at least by mainland standards. I mean our president is half white and half black, but he's is viewed as black. Just was wondering what Cotto is or is precieved as racially, and before some of you think this is a racist bait thread...it's not...I'm ignorant of the latin culture's perception of race and would like to know what the PRs here on BS think.

see thats what I mean. Here in chicago we would say he's hispanic, but hispanics identify themselves based on color also. Thats why you see **** on job aps like (hispanic/non-white)...Im just wondering what the PRs think or other latinos here

His facial features aren't much like his parents, he has kind of a flat nose, large lips, and kinky hair. He is pretty much black Hispanic like Tito & Benitez.

I think some Hispanics consider other white Hispanics as just being white.
