Ruiz to be the first champ to lose to two former middleweights?

    Could it happen?

I think if Toney comes out of shape, it will not happen probably. However, there is definitely the possibility of a serious James Toney decisioning Ruiz (lol) and that would be great.

Toney, at the press conference announcing the fight, oozed his typical sense of confidence. "I am ready to go no matter what," said Toney. "I do not care. You want to play rough, I will play rough. Boy, you have no idea. I tell you, I will hurt you. We can get it on right now. I do not play boxing. I do this for real."

How embarrassing for this fool to lose to 2 middleweights ( if it happens ). I pick Ruiz to win but just imagine. Getting KO'd by Tua is understandable and the great RJJ ok...but old, overweight James Toney?

That would effectively end Ruiz's career (well one can hope).

      1) I think Ruiz will win

      2) That won't be enough to end his career. We have seen Oliver McCall, Bruce Seldon, Rid**** Bowe, Evander Holyfield continuing to fight in this heavyweight division and with guys like Golota getting 5 title fights without having won one, Ruiz will be back for one of the 4 belts by 2006, if he loses to Toney

Toney will lose by decesion. He's not a true heavyweight. Ruiz will wear him down and upset him by hugging him. Ruiz will probably get away with another close decesion. Hopefully Toney won't do anything ****** and get disqualified.

Concerning Andrew Golota, he is definetly a top contender right now. I think he won the fight against Byrd because Byrd ran like a *****. He lost the John Ruiz fight because he didn't do enough. In any case he is a draw for the Soviet fans and that is why he is getting a nother chance. He did knock down Ruiz twice and I thought that he knocked down Byrd once as well when Byrd put his hands on the ground.

Ruiz got whooped all over the ring, even in exchanges. Toney can beat Roy now, but hell, Tarver and Johnson did, so what? Do you have a point?

              Anyway, on to Ruiz...lol.

i would love for nothing more than to see ruiz lose, doesn't matter to who either, but, ruiz is bigger, and huggs alot, and that will wear anyone down. but toney beat holyfield in a more decisive manner than ruiz and toney is good in fighting on the inside. the key to making ruiz look bad is to not let him just come in and hold, if anybody can have some movement and snipe from angles, ruiz would look like a bigger bum than he already is, because you would see that, that is all he tries to do is clinch and hold and gets in a lil cheap shot here and there. ruiz is a dirty fighter, and if anyone gets dirty back he cries like a little girl...... and his corner cries along too. toney has the skill to beat ruiz, but does he have the stamina and endurance??? i sure hope so....
