Point blank about Floyd and being "great"....

Honestly, I don’t care if Floyd proves he is pound for pound. I just want to see him prove he is the best in any division right now. On paper, yeah he might be. But as of yet he hasn’t proved it. People who talk about pound for pound have overlooked that Floyd has never had a defining pound for pound type of fight. He was elevated to number one after he beat Gatti and Hopkins lost to Taylor. And other than Ricky Hatton, Floyd has not faced an elite fighter at or near the top of his game since he moved to 140 and beyond. Plain and simple. Yes he beat Baldomir when he had the title but was he the best welterweight at the time? No. Was Oscar the best 154 pounder when he faced him? No. Was Marquez even a welterweight? Absolutely not. And Hatton wasn’t at his best weight of 140. So for me, Floyd has to fight Manny Pacquiao, Tim Bradley, Shane Mosley or Paul Williams just to show he is the best at 140 or 147. Anything other than that is what Floyd calls sitting back and collecting a paycheck.
