Mellow, Pai, we have some great trainers like Felix Pagan Pintor, Che Che Sanchez, Evangelista, Freddie Trinindad,ect,ect,ect.

I think the problem is discipline and change, Most PR elite fighters are not open for chages, whether they are style wise or adding somebody new to the team or firing somebody, because they are friends.


Look at this example.

Evangelista is like 20 times a better and plan developer than DOn Felix, but look how far Don Felix took Tito because Tito was willing to listen and let his dad run the show. You cant say the same about, who have a control and ego problem. If he would had let Evangelista run the show from the beggining he would have been a different story.

I disagree, I think this is another example like Koncz said, the pupil made the trainer.

I respectfully disagreee... we have good trainers.... to help our guys to make it to the top.. but its more than obvious.. that when our guys are up there in that level.. they need to bring some new weapons!!! new tactics.. new game plans.. they just need to learn new & different things.....

all of our fighters that had gone BIG on the game.. had done it by them self...

if not...

just look for one trainer who had more than 2 ELITE CHAMPIONS ....

at the same time .. or very close.. .none... they are just as good as their boxers.....

Nahhhh. Tito did what ever his dad told him to do, so Don Felix had to know somethin in order for Tito to be succesfull

koncz is a conman.a leach that leached on to manny.he knows manny is the money maker.roach made him a better fighter.

and the list can go on and on and on..... none of them ever had and ELITE CORNER.... all the same bunch of groupies that saw them grew up.. and that cant teach them nothing new.....

Its a shame that with all the advantage that we have here we havent been able to produce not EVEN one GOOD ELITE TRAINER...... or maybe there's one.. and is just that I DONT KNOW HIM......

joe santiagos performance last saturdays is the latest example, but we can say the same about trinidad sr, evangelista cotto, bonilla, freddie trinidad, cheche sanchez.. and all of them...

they suck!!! they are good to prepare our fighters to make it to the top here in the island... after that....

we got to do something!!!!!

i suppose you could look at it that way.... maybe pricans can look up some cubans for coaches

Pagan Pintor have worked with Duran, Rosario, Calderon, Gomez,ect,ect,ect.



THe main thing here is we have good trainers, and trainers like Evangelista, that for me is a top trainer has not gotten the opportunity at the really big stage and newbies like shago has.


Roach really became well known with Pacquiao, Emannuel steward last great Champion was Tommy Hearns,ect,ect,ect.

The thing that being a trainer is more than telling your guy what punches to throw in a fight and how.

PR have good trainers just ad listeners

How about swallowing ur pride and hiring Roach as the lifetime trainer?

Roach' style of offense first-defense second is perfect for the PR boxers as u guys are mostly offense type of boxers.

Now only if u can swallow ur pride and hire Roach for life.
