Glen Johnson-Antonio Tarver II set for July 18th

Per The Commercial Appeal, a newspaper in Memphis, Johnson-Tarver II is a done deal to be held on June 18th in Memphis. Andre Ward will be featured on the undercard...think he will make the broadcast???
It would be interesting to see a 3-0 (presumably) fighter on HBO, though his gold medal is a huge draw I know...

Edit: Again, it's JUNE 18th, not July 18th, so it is on a Saturday, sandwiched between Cotto-? and Mayweather-Gatti.

That's a monday. What a dumb day to have a fight. I'm going to bet on this one again. This time Tarver will beat him.

If we lived in a world where the boxing promoters gave two figs about the fans and stopped thinking about their own pocketbooks for just one second, this might happen. As it is they'll happily fill every weekend in the summer with a PPV with two big names and a slew of lousy undercards.

Johnson will TKO Tarver this time around. The first time,Johnson only had 3months to prepare for Tarver. Now that he's had the time off,he'l be mentally and physically ready to outwork and out hustle Tarver big time this time around.
