Pacquiao Rates on New Turf: Ratings and Results Update

With an in depth look at the Welterweight division yet to come this week here at BoxingScene, the sport basks still in the glow of the latest event at 147 lbs. It was Manny Pacquiao’s second fight at Welterweight (give or take a pound) and even more impressive than the last. Beating an aged, Jr. Middleweight Oscar De La Hoya was one thing. [details]

pac and mayweather is #1 and #2 and can go either way. mosley on #3 only because he has one of the belts and cotto remains in #4.

God I wish the Ring would rank Pacquiao over Floyd at 147.

So does this mean the winner of Pac-Mayweather could pick up the vacant lineal welterweight title as well since Mayweather was the last valid lineal welterweight champion??? Or is the only road through Mosley???

Correct, I have no idea why THE RING put him on number 2 when he beat a lightweight Marquez.
