Pacquiao was just named Top 20 ATG, why hasn't Mayweather been named an ATG yet?

Ali is one of the most outspoken boxers ever. Loud, brash and arrogant/confident as anyone we've seen and that includes PBF. And yet none of that would ever take away his greatness. Why? We all know the answer...

    I hope pac-pbf happens.

Do I care about Floyd's legacy? Well, I'm a fan. I don't worry about that. The "fans" on the internet don't speak for everybody. I am entertained by whomever Floyd fights. There are enough boxers with different styles to be a fan of. You'll get what you want. Because you think he isn't fighting 'who the fans want', well, some of us disagree with you. Why does one group matter more than the other?

This **** talking additude doesn't do you any favors, however. I'll be in Atlantic City this month and next, and back in LA for the Staples Center in 2010, along with MSG in NYC and Vegas, and wherever (hopefully) Mayweather Vs. Pacquiao takes place. Thats alot of states and alot of dates- and I'll represent the Mayweather Mafia at every event. If you want to meet up before the fight and tell me what a ***** and a ****** I am in person, well, I am at your disposal. Otherwise, I'd rather get along.

Shut up ***** and address the basis of the post.

You clowns, faqs, ****s, mafia, whatever you like to call yourselves,

        made up the standard.

Have your guy live up to it, or just quit crying about his lack of respect from fans.

i think certainly his accomplishments winning the 5 titles in 5 divisions, cleaning out 130 and being dominant at 135, for anyone not named mayweather, thats an all time great. Its just that, well, at this moment, there is just too much emotion to place mayweather anywhere. People have long forgotten why he got to the status hes at now. Basically, moronic opinions held by some of these posters actually count as the status quo. Mayweather may not have the story that pac has, or at this moment, the accomplishments, but hes still done alot in a short time. Hes certainly an all time great.

at the time of his prime, he was also the most hated boxer at the time. Only now, 30 years or 20 years later, is he really appreciated for who he was. All time greats are measured with time. Its when we jump to conclusions about fighters is where we get it wrong. There are careers for a reason, they dont just happen in their primes. For most of the greatest fighters, it was what they did when their skills diminished that got them their status. For pac and for mayweather, its too soon to say much of anything. they arent finished yet.
