I think was he was trying to say was that instead of throwing punches and come back with them. he wanted cotto to throw the punches and push pacquiao backward.

Seems he was completely overwhelmed. To this viewer it appeared Santiago had nothing to offer Cotto. No instruction, no motivation, no direction. The only role he served in the corner was that of Water Boy between rounds.

That's what I thought he meant, or to throw combos rather than one punch at a time.

If you're talking about better than Sr. at training or helping to train Manny, then that's a no-brainer. If you're talking about the caliber and quality of fighters each has trained, then I don't see how Buboy is better than Floyd Sr., unless I'm missing something.
