    In the corner......

"Just watch out for his left hand."

    "That's all he's got."

The next round...... Cotto gets dropped by the right.

Nothin he said was gonna save Cotto. It was 1 sided enuf to make clear lack of advice wasn't the reason Cotto got beat down.

Maybe not fired, but demoted to assistant trainer for sure.

a decent trainer would have saved cotto from 3-4 rounds of extra punishment and helped save what career he has left.

This may be true, but I think he could have tried to help atleast. As someone stated in an article posted here earlier, Cotto may have felt psychologically alone in his corner that night.

Also, I believe Cotto said something in the post-fight interview about how they asked him if they could stop it earlier but Cotto wouldnt let them. That just kind of proves Roach's comments about how Cotto runs the show and not the trainer.

I am a HUGE Cotto fan and I just wish the best for him. I hope he can decide on whats best for him and come back strong. A good trainer could get Cotto back to where he was before these beatings.
