  • Roy Jones "Forces" Fat Joe to Apologize

Thats what the article said but I wouldnt say he forced him I knew you guys didnt know what you were talking about. All of you said that Joe carried him but I knew it didnt go down like that. Before all this happened I remember seeing Joe on TV and he was saying how Roy's song "yall must have forgot" was the realist rap song of all time. He is a huge boxing fan and is always at the fights. Some might say Roy chumped him but I wont Peep this article:

    Fat Joe
Rapper FAT JOE was forced to apologise to former boxing champ ROY JONES JR after the fighter took offence to the heavyweight chart star poking fun at his defeats in JA RULE's anthem NEW YORK.

Joe and Jones Jr faced off recently at a party, when the boxer demanded answers from the rapper - real name JOE CARTAGENA - after the hip-hop star referred to Jones' knock-out losses to ANTONIO TARVER and GLENCOFFE JOHNSON with the line "even Roy Jones was forced to lean back".

Fat Joe says, "I told him, 'I know you can swing on me. You're the champion of the world in boxing. But you're going to leave this club.

"I realised how much I love Roy Jones at that point. I realised like, 'Wow, you really disrespected this man and hurt his pride, and he's a real n**ga for approaching you.'

"Rappers, we use lines and think it makes a hot song, but you have to really account for the s**t you be saying sometimes. You get approached.

"The next day we spoke on the phone. I was like, 'Yo, B, I got mad respect, mad love for you.' I'm a man about this s**t. I know when I'm right, I know when I'm wrong. That was wrong to be disrespecting him like that."

I often wonder about the use of the language like that. I don't know whether it makes them feel special, smart, tough, or all the above.

So was that whole thing a lie?
I remember hearing Roy Jones Jr. confronting him about it a long time ago and Joe said, "Man, it's like this, you were forced to lean back...twice!" and Jones just walked away from him. Is that true or fale, because if that was true why would Roy Jones still try to get an apology?

Hahahaha, took the words right outta my mouth! You know, I respect that fat muh****a for saying that. He did't hve to and very few are man enough to swallow their pride like that. A lot more mature and thoughtful than I'd have given him credit for.

It has similarities to postin on internet forums. Sometimes you want to make some of these bitches "lean back" too but in the end it's much cooler to swallow your pride and just move on to the next thread.

Especially when you're getting PWN3d to the point you're chewing your own foot off trying to think of a good comeback, hahahaha.

I mean .... I HEARD some guys have, uh had that happen to them ....

I personally think it was ******ed for the fat rapper to say those things about our beloved fighter. Why didint he rap about how RJJ made Montell Griffin lean back in the 1st round of their fight. Montell is arguably as good a fighter as the two people that beat RJJ IMO. Maybe better.

Fat Joe sucks anyways. He has 1 famous song, and it blows at that. He is like a chinese big poppa wannabe.

Fat Joe has head like a ****in Klingon! I bet that played a big part in Roy showing restraint.

Now his tittays .... there's some big soft targets!

WTF? Are you thinking of the right guy? Here is a bio I found on your "Chinese" rapper...

Latino rapper Fat Joe (aka Fat Joe da Gangsta, Joey Crack, and his real name Joe Cartagena) was raised in the South Bronx area of New York. It was through an older brother that Cartagena learned the ways of the street, as well as discovering rap music via the sounds of such groundbreaking artists as Theodore, Funky 4 + 1, and the Furious Five. Eventually going by the name of Fat Joe, the rapper secured a recording contract with the Relativity label in the early '90s, resulting in the release of his full-length debut, Represent, in 1993 (which spawned the single "Flow Joe," peaking at the number one spot on Billboard's Hot Rap Singles chart). Two years later, Fat Joe issued his sop****re effort, Jealous One's Envy, which included a cameo appearance by KRS-One as well as production contributions by the likes of DJ Premier, LES, and Domingo. Around the same time, Fat Joe appeared on LL Cool J's big hit "I Shot Ya" (along with Foxy Brown and Keith Murray) and collaborated with the Wu-Tang Clan's Raekwon on a track from the "Envy" single, called "Firewater." By the late '90s, Fat Joe had switched record labels (signing on with Atlantic) and tried his hand at other non-musical career ventures such as opening a clothing store called Fat Joe's Halftime, a barber shop, and a fashion line, FJ560. In addition, he signed a production and distribution deal with Atlantic Records and Mystic Entertainment (which he runs along with a partner named Big Greg). 1998 saw the release of Fat Joe's debut for Atlantic, Don Cartagena, which featured cameo appearances by the likes of Puff Daddy, Nas, Raekwon, Big Pun, and Jadakiss (L.O.X.), following it up in 2001 with Jealous Ones Still Envy (J.O.S.E.), which included contributions from Ludacris, Petey Pablo, M.O.P., R. Kelly, and Remy. ~ Greg Prato, All Music Guide
