but if it did 1.5mil that's just NUTS!..Pacquiao is a killer DRAW if that's the case..
Why give Pacquiao all the credit? he did not do those numbers with De La Hoya or Hatton. 1.5 would not be possible if Miguel Cotto didn't bring the Puerto Rican fans and the latino people by promoting the fight on spanish speaking shows.

Let's give Cotto some credit for those numbers too because it takes two guys to sell a fight.

Of course..I'm not discrediting Cotto at all trust me..

but Cotto's biggest fight before this was 450k against Margarito..so alot of it had to do with Pacquiao..that's why I only mentioned Pac..

Damn, you yanks have to pay extra for HD PPV's - in england if you've got a HD tv you can order it in either nornal or HD for the same price.

Anyway, as for the Pac/Cotto numbers....I bet when its made public it will be between 7 - 850,000.

Cotto's fan base grew after the whole Margarito plaster/fight thing. It seems fans were able to conect with him more after that happpen to him. And that 450K was better than any PPV by Pacquiao before De La Hoya so Cotto was a solid on PPV.

I don't think there is any question Pacquiao is responsable for the majority of those PPV buys but I am pretty sure 500-600K buys came in thanks to Cotto.

If this is true then Pac-Mayweather is going to be the highest grossing boxing event of all time surely.

What I'm getting from that report is that cable operators better get multiple high performing power servers when Pacquiao-Mayweather gets made.

They should also provide anti-exploding cable boxes cause many are bound to explode when people start clicking to order the fight.
