I can never see Marquez beating Floyd at any weight. JMM feeds off come forward fighters who make mistakes, Floyd doesn't come forward constantly and makes very few mistakes. It would be the same again, I think JMM lasts the distance without getting too marked up, but doesn't do enough to win more than 3 rounds at best.
Floyd vs Marquez @ 140 who wins.

The fact is Floyd fought Marquez when he was green at the higher weights. His body was not used to fighting at that weight. Like Marquez said, if he had a warm up fight before Floyd it would be a different story. Marquez is a better fighter than Hatton or Judah who gave Mayweather more problems. The weight definitely played a factor.Comment

Even at 135, they would have both come in as Welterweights.
Marquez came in as a legit WW against Casamayor and Diaz, on fight night.Comment

I still would pick Floyd Jr. But, I don't think Floyd would shut JMM down the way he did at 147. Y'all gotta remember, we're talkin' about a 36 year old dude. who already had a lot of wear n' tear.
I thought JMM was already done, starting in the Casa fight and it really showed up against Juan Diaz. A prime JMM would not have allowed Juan to get off the way he did.Comment
