Manny responds that way because that's his personality, he never ever calls anyone out like that, especially not in public, he'll always say talk to Arum and he'll say that he's just a fighter not the promoter. He's just humble and don't talk thrash like Gayweather. Even with Cotto, he just told Roach "i think i can beat him", he didn't call out Cotto and said i want Cotto.
