    Cotto? "Mayweather cuts him up"

Basically he doesn't even need to fight anyone to be declared the winner of proposed bout.

Speaking of Cotto, if someone told me 3-4 years ago that Pacquiao would be fighting him before Mayweather, I'd have laughed my ass off. Cotto's been an option since Mayweather was at 140, but I guess harder challenges such as the Gattis, Baldomirs and Judahs were more pressing matters.
I was even LMAO when it was announced he's fighting DLH.
The **** i lost money on that figth!

In Floyd's defense ; Miguel's people wanted no part of Floyd when both were at 140. Evangelista, in particular.

And he won't because he's not skilled enough and does not have the balls to even try.

        Sad thing.
Mayweather is one of/ if not the greatest SFW.

Add Hatton to that list, Hatton's father to be more specific. Being ring side to Mayweather's beat down of Gatti had alot to do with that.

              Indeed.

Even at 147, Ricky himself was unsure about fighting Floyd, and likely only called him out due to the pressure surrounding the fight.

I remember a couple interviews post Urango, and Collazo where Ricky was directly asked about Floyd and he himself said he wasn't "ready".

Floyd has earned his place in the sport, he has done solid work his whole career really. The early part of his championship run is very impressive, and even recently he has done pretty good work.

A paper tiger would have been tripped up along the way by any number of the good fighters that Floyd has beaten.

Weights: Mayweather 131 lbs., Apodaca 130 lbs.
                      SO

Reggie Sanders- world beater with a 1-1 record. I think he beat Leon Spinks.
Weights: Mayweather 131 lbs., Sanders 132.5 lbs.

Jerry Cooper - 6-3. a step up, but again, as with the two previous champions Floyd faced, it was against smaller men.
Weights: Mayweather 130 lbs, Cooper 129.5 lbs
                      ASO

Edgar Ayala - another Skid Row Promotions brawler with no record listed. Further research reveals this was his very first fight as well. I think this is the first fight to give a sign of what happens when Floyd steps up his competition. It gets a bit rough, so he lowers the standard for his next opponent, in this case, Edgar Ayala.
*its been said Ayala was picked because he was a good draw with the LA underpass crowd.

Weights: Mayweather 133 lbs, Ayala 131 lbs
                      ASO

Kino Rodriguez - This tall guy at 5 feet five and half inches came into the ring as Floyds most regarded and experienced opponent.

9-9-2 with 3 coming by stoppage or KO.

                      Weights: Mayweather 132 Rodriguez 130.
                      ASO

Bobby Giepert - Floyd, feeling invincible after defeating the Kong-like Kino, steps up in talent opposition again to take on the like sized Bobbo with a record of 19-8 (6 losses by KO at that time).

Weights: Mayweather 132 lbs, Giepert 133 lbs

*lets give a handclap here folks, he fought someone who finally wasn't smaller.

Tony Duran - The amazing 12-15 Tony Duran. Amazing in that up to that point, 12 fights ended by stoppage or KO, of Duran, not for!
                      Weights: Mayweather 129 Duran 133

                      * we like this, Floyd fighting guys similar in stature. Way to go big boy!

                      Larry O'shields
                      - all five foot 6 of him with his gaudy and flamboyant record of 12-3-1 with 5 KOs, by him. Floyd getting a bit braver by the fight!
                      Weights: Mayweather 132 O'shields 131.75
                      ASO

Jesus Chavez - before you soil your chonies with seminal residue, let me remind you, not that Jesus Chavez, but the 1-13-1 Jesus Chavez. Did I mention that 11 of those 13 losses were by KO or stoppage?
1-13-1. In case you were wondering, Chavez stood a Godzilla-like 5 foot 5. Well, only if you had the toy.

                      Weights: Mayweather 130.5 Chavez 130
                      ASO

Louie Leija - Floyd steps it up big time, in a big way. Slaying the like sized Leija in 2 rounds knocking him down a few times. Heres the downer, and its totally not unlike Floyd,
but this was after Louie had just suffered a KO loss in his previous fight. Starting to notice some patterns developing. Floyd for some reason, can't stand latino fighters.
                      Weights: Mayweather 131 Leija 132

Felipe Garcia - The "Sears Tower" in boxing, standing in at a whopping 62 inches, here you have an opponent who was 20-18 at the time, but had been the loser in 10 of his previous 13 fights. It took Floyd 6 rounds to KO the midget in denial.

                      Weights: Mayweather 133.5 Garcia 130
                      ASO

Angelo Nunez - Finally, a bigger fighter, but, one who had lost his previous 3 fights.
                      Weights: Mayweather 130 Nunez 133

Shall I continue with another year of beating world champs and bigger men?
