    cotto should retire..

I feel hurt because cotto was my idol and still my idol but objectively I don't even know if he can beat marquez anymore..

he is done. the only way he became Top boxer again is hire a good trainer(like Floyd sr. or freddie roach) and train harder and faster but..I doubt it would work...

anyway I'm always supporting him not only in the ring but also out of the ring.he still my idol.

I don't think he needs to retire. People overreact. He could retire, and would have nothing to be ashamed of, but lets not jump the gun.

In the Welterweight ranks, he could still face the winner of Mosley/Berto. Also, due to the fact that most of the players in 147 are not really interested in doing it, he could go and try to gather up the belts from Berto or Mosley, and see about unifying them, provided that he doesn't have to go through Manny to do such a thing.

So far, the only two types of fighters who will do this type of damage to him are Manny and Margarito. The best fighter in the world, essentially, or a guy who's bigger and may have cheated to begin with.

He doesn't have to retire and could still do some exciting/unique things.

My opinion is that Hatton and Cotto should be allowed to test themselves at Title level (not p4p) If they want to.

          example :

Ricky Hatton vs Timothy Bradley (WBO World Titleholder)
Miguel Cotto vs Vyacheslav Senchenko (WBA World Titleholder)

These are winnable fights, and i think would create interest.

oh you don't know anything about Timothy Bradley ...he would beat cotto and hatton at 140 so that's not a winnable match at all.and Vyacheslav Senchenko ...yep he is a bum..

I don't mean Hatton would be a favorite over Bradley, i mean it is possible he can beat him.

Dont think he should, I think 2 more fights for him and he could hang them up.

He's been taking too many wars in the past 2 years itself...

Believe me, last Saturday I felt for him too...

Like something was taken from me personally[no ****]

Luckily Floyd Money will redeem that..

Cotto is not done he is a top WW. Give the man som time to rest and plan his next move. He could still beat most fighters out there.
