It'0s not mental. Cotto gets hit too much! That's it. He has always had that flaw. He should never had to be in trouble with Judah, Corley or Torres. Those are guys who never were in the top 3 p4p list and Cotto got hurt in those fights. What did you expect to happen when Cotto got in with a Pacquiao caliber fighter? He did not evolve as he should and people grew used to the Robocop style he had. That will only take you so far because it you mimic Robocop (same mobility but no extra armor) you are destined to lose vs p4p greats.

I'm dreaming about a Cotto one year layoff and a wonderful comeback where he would beat Hatton, avenge his two losses and retire as an ATG.

Great dream but it won't happen. Cotto is a good fighter but he's one dimensional. He can't go backwards, as soon as that happens, it's over for him.

He has a great jab and works the body great but can't deal with an excellent counter puncher or an aggressive fighter.

Cotto is best when he's playing the role of the bully, as soon as those roles are reversed, he can't deal with it.

I like Cotto, respect him a ton but he's not going to beat Manny, Floyd or even Marg in a rematch. Those styles aren't good for him.

Cotto was a good champ and a good fighter but he's not elite in the weight class. That's reserved for 2 men, Manny and Floyd.

I will continue to say that I was dead wrong on this fight. Pac proved me wrong. I thought Cotto was on the verge of being that dominant WW again after he took the beating form Margo and proving he could come back against Jennings and Clottey. Roach proved he was right when he studied Cotto and found his flaws. And having a fighter like Pac to exploit those flaws doesn't hurt either. It will be interesting to see what Roach says about Floyd and any flaws he might see in the Pretty Boy. I don't know. I always said that either Pac or Cotto would have trouble with Floyd's style. After the display of dominance Pac showed Cotto I won't be to quick to pick Floyd in a mega-fight. Still, Floyd does have some extraordinary skills. Unlike Cotto, Floyd hasn't had a bad fight yet where you can devise a solid stradegy. Floyd is like the game of golf, it looks like it's something that you can do but when you try it you look like an ass. But I think Pac has the tools to pull it off. I'll just keep my mouth shut and my wallet in my pocket.

I have a feeling that the rest of Cotto's career is going to look a lot like Fernando Vargas post-Tito and DLH beatings

This is where I am at odds. I would hate to see him lose again, especially to a second rate fighter and I don't want to see him get hurt. I want to see him on top of the boxing world again but the risk may be too much.

Cotto will decide. I will root for him, but if he fights again I will be nervous.

He should fight Ricky Hatton, that would be an easy win and a good payday. Then he should go for a Margarito rematch.
