Felix Trinidad: "Cotto Should Retire in Two or Three More"

Puerto Rican icon Felix Trinidad has advised his countryman, Miguel Cotto, to retire after two or three more fights. Trinidad watched Cotto take a bad beating at the hands of Manny Pacquiao last Saturday at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. He says Cotto has a few more fights in the tank but not many. [details]

Cotto needs to improve and get that mental strength back; all there is to it.

He's done as an elite imo. Pac 2, Clottey 2, Marg 2, SSM 2, Mr boat buyer, all fights Cotto would lose. JMW is too high up for him. Fight the guy who got the IBF WW belt and call it a career.

Impossible to get back. Cotto is too weak mentally.

If I was Cotto, I'd retire now.

Not too long ago Miguel Cotto was indestructable but now after 2
losses people are already throwing him under the bus. I always spoke
very openly about Miguel Cotto and his flaws and many on Boxinscene either
cursed me out or laughed at me but I was telling the truth the whole time.
I picked Pac first and then switched to Cotto because I thought he could
hurt Pacquiao but that wasn't the case. I also didn't understand why
people was ragging him now worst than I did and I never was a fan.
Cotto just as I always said needed a better corner and trainer.
Hopefully the 3 back to back ass whuppings didn't do that much
            damage to his mental

              I'm with tito.

I agree with TITO. He should definately NOT retire and as he said after the fight, HE WILL CONTNUE 2 FIGHT. This was a GOOD showing 4 COTTO overall but he seemed 2 have mental lapses throughout the fight. The JAB was a thing of BEAUTY and he stopped throwing it 4 whatever reason. @ times he dictated the pace and he showed HEART and COURAGE like he always does. Hats off 2 MANNY 4 becoming the only 7-time world champion in the HISTORY OF BOXING.

Cotto still has a lot left in tank.. All he need is a top trainer and a good motivation...

                  Cotto shouldn't retire.

He should fight any other fighter not named Manny Pacquiao.

I think most of us are in agreement here that Cotto should fight some more and definitely needs a good trainer.

Mentally he needs to work out all his demons though before he goes on another big fight as i myself still has a strong belief on him as a fighter and can still win.
