Maybe by some miracle Roach can train cotto for the margarito fight. Stranger things have happened in boxing.
i hope it happens......cotto will be back.....

I have no doubt in my mind that if Cotto just works with a more experienced trainer--a rematch with Pacquiao would be much different. i certainly don't believe it would've ended in a TKO for Pacquiao--it would be tough match. Nothing like last Saturday. NOTHING. I mean it. Santiago wasn't advising Cotto at all. And I want a rematch as a fan and it better be at 147.

As for PR/PI alliance I think both countries respect and admire each other especially because of Pacquiao. Cotto is a great fighter and a true gentleman.

One the side note;as a Filipino--Manny is the only fighter the country TRULY has at the moment. I don't wanna sound like a punk but that's the truth. Donaire and Viloria are just wannabee legends. It takes Philippines every 30/40 years to produce one GREAT fighter like Pancho Villa or Flash Elorde--other countries have consistent good fighters produced. I don't know, we need to start feeding our people. ehehhehehe.

I've noticed it too and I'm thankful for it. Seems every time fighters from different countries fight it turns into some sick "racial superiority" war.

For some reason in this case there's mutual respect from fans of both countries towards each other and their fighters.

Nice to see Flips and Boricuas bucking the trend and being better than that.

what i loved about this whole thing was the absence of trash talking (from the fighters) to hype this fight. all it took was these two fighters' reputation in the ring.
