BOXING needs to become more like MMA

Where 1 loss doesn't ruin your career and unbeaten fighters don't duck anybody. Yes, Miguel Cotto lost but it's not the end for him, he's still a great fighter and styles make fights. Too much is put into being undefeated and I'm a big Calzaghe fan saying this.

Boxing has relied on this "perfect record theory" for some time now. It builds bigger fights and makes more money. Guys in the old days that had 6-10 defeats were considered top ten pound for pound fighters.

I think he means in the sense that Boxers need to fight the best fighters and not be so protective of their undefeated records.

MMA got nothing on boxing but this is the only thing I like from their sport.

lol..i agree with you but what im saying is that in boxing, at the peak of your career, when you lost once or twice. It's over. If ever Floyd fought Pacquiao or Mosley and loses, then people will look at him like ****! Thats how it works in boxing!

I'm fed up of fighters being asked if they will retire after getting stopped in fights, it happens...
