If Golota beats Brewster and Byrd wins his next fight I hope they have a rematach because Golota deserves one, I thought he one that fight clearly 8-4 or 7-5 at best. Byrd did not do **** in that fight except get pounded on the ropes, and Golota punches were hurting him bad to body and his head was all messed up at the end of the fight. Golota would have won but one of the judges actually gave round 12 to Byrd, what a screw Job, it was melvina Latham. Watch Golota vs Byrd what a joke that Latham gave round 12 to Byrd and that decided the descision. one judge had it 8-4 Golota one Judge had Byrd by 2 and Latham had it a draw because she gave Byrd the last round. Screwjob of the year 2004. Byrd was beat to **** in round 12 by Golota, Golota actually landed a bunch of punches flush to head, that is what injured Byrd's eye.Last edited by The Troll; 04-06-2005, 06:26 PM. -
| Judge: Steve Weisfeld 115-113 Golota
| Judge: Melvina Lathan 113-115 Byrd
| Judge: Tony Paolillo 114-114 ~
IBF Heavyweight Title
Latham had Byrd ahead by 1 going into the 12th, and she gave round 12 to Byrd, worst scoring ever giving Byrd that round, that was possibly Golota's most dominating round. If she would have scored it honestly Golota would have won by Majority descision.
Anybody that has seen round 12 of Golota vs. Byrd has to realize how bad Golota was screwed by Latham. Melvina Latham is a pure tool, dishonest on somebodies payroll piece of garbage. She has no credibility at all.Last edited by The Troll; 04-06-2005, 06:21 PM.Comment

Latham was (is) on the payroll of the bookies and Las Vegas casinoes because those ****** asses were posting odds like Byrd 7-1 straight wager. I had Golota at 7-1 so did alot of other people, Golota got screwed because Casinoes would have lost bigtime if she was honest. The odds dropped all the way down to 2-1 before the fight, so the casinoes knew they were in trouble posting those early 7-1ers.Last edited by The Troll; 04-06-2005, 06:36 PM.Comment

Which one is Vitali?Originally posted by Runw/knivesVitali Klistchko or Haseem Rahman.
One of the two. I have no idea which one. Rock stands a better chance against VK as anyone else in the heavyweight division, and is the ONLY shot at dethroning Optimus Prime.

Golota will eventually be given a shot at one of them and might knock Wladimir out but lose to Vitali
That's exactly the way I have it as well.Comment

When has Wlad ever lost because of 1 punch? I must have missed that fight. He took about 12 flush power shots from Sanders, and kept getting up. The Brewster fight had nothing to do with Brewster landing punches, Wlad was dead on his feet before he got hit with anything.
In the HW division, anyone can get KO'd with one punch, but from the fights I've seen of his (just about all the televised ones) Wlad is no more susceptible than the next fighter to getting KO'd with one shot. As a matter of fact, if you watch the Sanders fight- his chin is pretty impressive. His D totally sucks, but his chin is good to get up from all those bombs. He got right up every time including the last time. Sanders just never gave him a chance to totally recover, and Wlad didn't hang on long enough.
Other than that, when has Wlad ever been "hurt" in a fight. I didn't see him "hurt" against Brewster or Williamson.
And you also have it wrong about Wlad's punching power. For all his flaws, he is probably the hardest hitter with a single punch in the HW division right now. Mainly because of how straight he shoots his right hand and how he bends his knees to put his upper body weight behind the punch. It's a beautiful punch. Watch the Brewster knockdown (Brewster has one of the better HW chins and he knocked him silly).
Wlad has alot of flaws, stamina and defense being the main ones, but power and a chin are honestly not one of them.Comment
