Do you think PAC could've made the first few rounds easier

I mean, he fought the opposite strategy that he and Roach implemented in training camp. The whole deal was about him staying off the ropes. Roach emphasized this all throughout training camp in Baguio and Wildcard.

Yes, he should've used movement from the get-go

No, Cotto would've still battered him in the early rounds

Doesn't matter. Cotto took a huge beating and got KO'd. The end.

    All the best to Miguel.

He wanted to test himself to whether or not he can take cotto's best shots. Plus I believe a little pain gives him that mind condition to go for the kill.

i think staying on the ropes helped mess with cotto's head.

Yes he could have. IMO, he is ******** that he could take Cotto's power. He did and it sort of played very well into the head of Cotto. The premise of a Cotto win is based on the notion that Pac could not take his power and he could handle pac's speed. Both were proven false.

I don't think their strategy was only to move him around. Its obvious they worked o his defense against the ropes and against those hooks. Dude looked like Clottey in there ( I know not as tight as him) I think the the plan was to use that defense to throw Cotto off as some of his biggest hits/combos were counters from that shell.

honestly, pac didn't fight a perfect fight... part of it is due to the fact that cotto is an elite WW... but the other part is that pac wanted to test cotto's power.

I think he could have made them a bit easier but the fight probably wouldn't had been as entertaining then. Still, I'd say Cotto is the hardest fight he has had in his past 4 fights but what have to hear from Pacquiaos mouth what 4 fights was hardest to him. I do know he gave Cotto credit and said it was a harder fight then what the fans realize. It's not easy making another boxer look bad, especially one as good as Cotto.

But, why test it, when he didn't have to? The reprecussions, ****, PAC may very well follow Roach in the Parkinson's dept.

I remember Pac's corner was nervous and always remind him don't go toe to toe with cotto. But He pulled a Clottey, he took shots from cotto then went out fine and he reverse the situation, sneak in with an uppercut that kd and messes cotto's mind.
