Floyd best days are behind him

Just looking at the marquez vs floyd fight and i saw flaws in floyd invincibility...he did get hit by marquez and floyd seem to have slipped on his reflexes... Because if that was manny hitting floyd he would certainly would have been down...floyd couldn,t even stop marquez with those big ass pillow gloves and marquez was coming up in weight...manny is too sharp for floyd and anybody at this moment...now if the fight goes down you best believe that manny will get his punching gloves and that will spell the end for floyd...he probably should retire again until manny becomes president of the philliphine and then comeback...thoughts???

He looked as good as ever. This is a man who took a long time rest to let his body heal and he has never taken a bad beating in his fights. He is absolutely in his prime.

It's funny you should mention it, kedashy, cause I was just thinking the same thing while posting in Horus' thread. I had to stop myself from replying any more, partly because it wasn't going anywhere and partly because I suddenly realized Mayweather has left me with the impression that he is yesterday's news. The worst thing he could have done is retired. All of a sudden he just feels less relevant, despite still being a prominent figure in boxing. His time to shine seems to have passed.

That's an ownage kinda post. Not being rude, Yaman, but kedashy has a good point. Why take time off if you don't need it? To spend money? That means you get left behind and others overtake you, like stopping off at a service station to buy a sandwich in the middle of a race.

No wonder. Marquez is 3 divisions out of his league.

Hatton looked great against Malignaggi because Paulie couldn't hurt him. Then what happened?

I dont know if Floyd is still in his prime or if he slipped a bit but im convinced it still would be the biggest challenge to date for both fighters. No matter who wins it would certainley not be an easy fight.

I guess I should have said he let his body REST. Mayweather is/was a guy who trains all year around to stay fit. He's been at it since he was a young man so even though he hasn't taken much punishment, a rest at his age and circumstances didn't hurt him.

And honestly I don't know what fight you were watching. His reflexes in his last fight were superb. And after that layoff he barely showed ring rust.
