I think he'll probably defeat Ward, as long as the fight's not in Ward's hometown of Oakland with his home juges and home ref that let's him hold.
Why do you want Ward to fail so badly?

He should be ok against Ward and Dirrell. I don't think Kessler will brutalise him too much and who knows he might even beat Froch this time.

I don't want him to "fail so badly" but I don't like his demanding that all his fights in the Super Six be in Oakland. Kessler's the WBA champion, the opening fight whould be in Denmark.

Don't do it, JerJer. I don't want to see you get hurt.

thats one way to look at it. but both the european fighters had the hometown advantage so i would say its atleast fair for one of the americans to have the hometown advantage, but ward having a hometown advantage in every fight is a different story. also, remember this isnt just for kesslers belt, but also for the tournament as a whole, so things are being treated more neutral despite whos champion and who isnt

I agree with the first post to an extent. You also have to remember that Ward is a gold medalist, he is young, and has the skills to be a very good fighter. Ward can bring a crowd while Jermaine and Dirrell really aren't going to attract a big crowd in the states. It may not be fair that all the fights are at home but sometimes it's something you have to do for the betterment of the sport. For boxing to do well we need to have at least one promising prospect fighting at home to spark the interest of American fight fans. Like it of not, for boxing to do well, it has to do well in America.
