Thoughts on Cotto-Pacquiao
My friend said this and I completely agree with everything he said:
"Last nights cotto vs pacquiao showed so many things.
1) pacquiao is a real threat as a welter weight. He still had his speed and power.
2) cotto had a workable game plan in my mind but was not mentally prepared for the fight and deviated ( just proves boxing is 80 mental)
3) santiangos inexperisnce showed. The adjustment needed to take control of the fight never happened.
Opportunity was there to make this a greater fight then it was. Hope pacquiao vs mayweather happens soon. Also hope cotto has a reality check and makes the right modifications to come back. fights should be planned rd by rd. And no matter what the trainer should make slight mods every rd. But a game plan is a game plan. You only get in trouble when you stray. Cotto could have beat Pacquiao IF HE HAD THE RIGHT TRAINER...
Cotto= All time Great (in my eyes yes, beacause he has beat some good names for instance mosley, the margarito fight did have a very bad effect on him. if u got hit with bricks i'm sure u would be dead by now...)
Pacquiao= All time great
Roach = All time great
Pacquiao + Roach = GREATNESS
