PACquiao fought a dumb fight !

As y'all already saw, PAC's battle marks started to show post-fight. He got battered himself, all because he wanted to prove to everyone that he can take Cotto's punches. But, he took alot of uneccesary damage in the process.

PAC showed later on how easy it was to evade Cotto's left hook, by duckin' under. That's what he should've done from the get-go.

    Was it a crowd-pleasing fight ? W/O a doubt!

But, he took uneccessary damage, that can haunt him in his next fight.

If he had destroyed Cotto early or make it non-competitive like Hatton Diaz and Oscar....there will be more Cotto is past it threads here than all 3 combined. I'm glad Pac made it competitive in the first few rounds.

No he had to earn Cotto's respect. The first rounds were mind games. If you ever fought, you can understand that. Cotto was super confident when Pacquiao was moving away and once Pacquiao stood toe to toe, and seemed invincible, Cotto lost his confidence and his game. He tried to KO him and completely lost any chance of winning it.

Did you not read my post ? Yes, it was a crowd pleasing fight! But, it was a dumb decision by PAC to allow Cotto to unload so many shots early on. Even Roach and Buboy were yellin' at his ass telling him, that, that was not the gameplan that they worked on, what does that tell you ?

I understand, from a fans perspective, they like seeing the toe-to-toe battle, but, why make it more difficult than it has to be ?

I dont get it pac fought a great fight and got hit by another potentially great fighter. cotto's Prob in ther top 3 of best and in prime fighters pacs fought! plus I dont believe he took enough damage that could haunt him in his next fight at all. I struggle to see how anyone could complain about pacs performance last night

I don't see anything wrong with what he did. Pacquiao took those punches to show that he could handle Cotto's power, and that can make Cotto think differently and change his plan. It also could have hurt Cotto mentally because he would see that he wasn't hurting Pacquiao with all his power shots (like with Margarito and Clottey). When Pac was on the ropes, right away I thought about Clottey putting his arms up and taking those power shots.

Pacquiao showed that he has some balls. It wasn't dumb at all.

There was no need for PAC to show he could take Cotto's shots, it wasn't necessary, even Roach was saying the same thing in between rounds!

That's exactly my point. The fans don't give a ****, but it was a dumb plan! Why get ****** around when you don't have to.
