  • "I tried to pretend that it's not going to hurt. But it really hurts." -Pacquiao

I thought this was a great and honest admission by Pac. Cos there was no way he didn't feel those punches when he was laying on the ropes. He definitely made it look like they were nothing though. Great fight.

    QUOTES FROM THE PRESSCON

ON BEING AN ALL-TIME GREAT BOXER

Bob Arum: "I will go on the record, and say that I really believe that Manny Pacquiao is the best fighter I've ever seen. That includes Ali, Sugar Ray Leonard, Marvin Hagler. The best fighter I've ever seen."

Pacquiao: "I think I'm just an ordinary fighter."

    Roach: "You're not ordinary."

"He's as good as any of them. He's the greatest fighter of this era that's for sure."

ON FIGHTING MIGUEL COTTO ON THE ROPES

Roach: "I yelled at him every time: Why are you fighting his fight?"

"I can handle it, Manny told me."

Pacquiao: "The first three rounds I tried to measure his power. I'm trying to fight toe-to-toe. Of course I respect Cotto, but his camp they were always saying he was bigger and stronger. I wanted to let him know who was stronger and tougher in that ring."

“Our plan and strategy for the fight was not to hurry. We knew he was going to counter. We were very careful because we didn’t know what will happen.”

"I tried to pretend that it's not going to hurt. But it really hurts."

"It was one of the toughest fights in my boxing years. I took a lot of punches from Cotto. He's strong and he hits hard. It was all about being smart in the ring and pretending not to be hurt when you really are."

"I was trying to control the fight. In my mind."

    MIGUEL COTTO MESSAGE

Cotto: “I didn’t see where the punches were coming from."

“I fought everybody. Manny is one of the best boxers of all time.”

The part with Roach saying your not ordinary was funny. Pac was like, Sorry Master. lol. I also thought he put up a hell of a good act to not look hurt by Cotto's body punches because they looked strooooong. If not for Pac's conditioning, he would have gone down at some point after giving Cotto all those freebies. That's like Mayorga letting Tito hit him with his left hook in the first, except Pac played it off better

That right ear of Pac's looked like it hurt, but other than that he looked pretty mark-free.

That was very smart, even if it was crazy on his part. No doubt it had a terrible psychological effect on Cotto.

The thing with Floyd though is that he shadows his punches and hits you with the ones you dont see...those hurt.

                Pac does the same.

Going to be a good foking fight when it happens.

if cotto couldnt knock down pac, floyd wont.

Floyd will catch pac w/ some counter punches and make pac off balanced, like JMM did to pac.
