Chavez Jr. is a bum, there shouldn't be a debate about this. Maybe he's planning on not starting his real career until he is 70-0 or something, but the guy fights nobody and doesn't look particularly good doing it.

Well he never did have an amateur career right?
And I hate calling fighters bums....but he isn't very good and gets handled by anyone at the top of that weight class.
Thing is I wouldn't mind if he was honing his craft and fighting low level opp. since he didn't have an am career really.
BUT DON"T PUT HIM ON THE UNDERCARD TO A FIGHT LIKE PAC COTTO.

To his credit he's still a kid 22 or 23 with little amateur career, BUT he wasn't impressive. He's definately not ready for prime time. If his handlers thought he had championship talent why wouldn't they have fight in the amateurs? It looks to me as if they're trying to get a few paydays based upon his name.

His fight last night was garbage. He's a nice kid, but not impressed at all.
