If he was actually fighting back, I could see letting him finish. But the fact that Pacquiao had to practically pound his gloves to get Cotto to engage, is why Cotto lost his right to finish until the final bell. He was getting hit and battered even while he was trying to elude combat.

I thought it was the right call, all it needed was a good punch and Cotto could have been seriously hurt.

Agreed, there was no point of letting the fight go on if one fighter is retreating looking for the final bell. It's sych a shame his corner didn't stop it earlier, It was clear his game plan was to run and avoid fighting.

He took some shots that he shouldnt have taken..

It was a good call. Cotto just lost to the better fighter, and that's ok. Manny is an ATG, and fighters like him don't come around much. Respect to both.

The fight should've been stopped earlier. It's clear that Cotto wasn't gonna do anything. Pacquiao was going easy on him, around the end.

Stop it,there is honor in trying to make the final bell!!Pacman is the better fighter,Cotto was beat, the stoppage was premature!!Cotto was backing up because he was beaten, there are fighters who back up just to do it,no need to **** on the man,he fought he lost!!

How much more time was there until the twelfth round ended? I don't remember. I'll have to look it up.

It was a good stoppage, if a fighter isn't trying to fight it is best to stop it.

I think Bayless should have just let Cotto finish the fight. The result would have been the same but Cotto is better than being stopped by the ref. Symbolically, they should have let him finish the fight.

I think there was about 2 minutes to go.
