Good news is Pacquiao won and there WILL be a Mayweather fight now

Bad news is that Cotto boxed backing up for the last 6 rounds, and unfortunately he had a good amount of success doing it. Mayweather is, unfortunately, a million times better at it then Cotto.

While I agree that Mayweather is a far superior boxer to Cotto, out of all those rounds that Cotto was on the move, he didn't come close to winning one of them.

But by that time Cotto was beaten, Pacquiao didn't have to go all guns blazing and he was still winning the rounds.

I wouldn't say Cotto had a good amount of success doing anything but jabbing in the early rounds. Pacquiao however was not able to cut off the ring and fight too effectively when Cotto was on the move although it may have been more out of confusion and frustration than anything. He had the fight won and Cotto started using survival tactics.

Pacquiao needs more patience than that in order to beat Mayweather but I believe he'll keep improving and make Pacquiao vs Mayweather an interesting fight.
