who do you respect more? Cotto or Mayweather?

He drained Corrales who came out of the prison not in shape and the guy needs money and took the offer. Floyd took the advantage of Corrales situation. Castillo i think was robbed the 1st fight. Oscar? Split Decision? it could go either way.

Talent wise FLoyd is great but talent is useless if you ain't fighting the best in boxing. In the end, people will see the accomplishments Floyd has done and they will for sure compare it to the other great boxers, and they will decide whether or not Floyd should be an ATG and should get the respect of the fans as well as boxing community.

I could bring millions of excuse for every fight fighter fought but that wont change the facts.

You could say Cotto forgot to sleep at night before the fight that is why he s out of stamina but at the end Manny won. and any excuse wont change that.

As for the Castillo fight it was close could have gone either way. As for DHL is clear win for Floyd by 2 rounds IMO. Dont know what one of the judges was thinking

Cotto gets more respect from fans because he gives the fans what they want to see. He steps in the ring with the best and takes the risks. Floyd gets respect from people who admire his money and his slick talk. Floyd has not fought a top WW and until he does he wont get the respect from the fans.

By the way, I respect Floyd a lot more, not only because of his superior skills, but due to his dedication. This man is a gym rat, trains hard, and does not drink. Cotto gets drunk in public and acts a damn fool in public here in PR all the time. I didn't even respect that when I was 14 and saw friends of mine do it. How can I respect a grown man who does it, who by the way, happens to be a pro boxer? He should know better.

This type of stamina you get from dedication that is why I have alot of respect for Mannu Pac,Calzaghe Floyd Mayweather as well as Bernard Hopkins because of dedication. You dont see alot of fighter coming out in the 7th or more round fresh like it was the first round as well as there speed and ablity to think is and plan during the fight like those guys.


As for PR I believe Tito is better than Cotto. Tito is just bless with alot of power.

Bottom line here is, RESPECT = To Person's Character in General. Not only in skills, intelligence but also as a PERSON.

He wins, wins, wins! Cotto has proven his heart and should get a lot of respect. It just depends how you look at it. Mayweathers style isn't as exciting as Cottos but in boxing its about hitting and not getting hit, not who's the toughest or who can take more. In boxing I pick Mayweather, on the streets I pick Cotto.

Dude have you really read my post??? Corrales came out of prison would u expect the guy to be in good shape? Plus the fact that Corrales is really broke and he really needed the money, he took the offer. The way is saw it is that Floyd took advantage of the situation.

Another Gayweather Nuthugger! Give me a ****ing break, Gayweather has no balls or heart, he has never fought a TOP welterweight, ever! He sure the **** ain't gonna fight Pac now. I had Cotto in last nights fight but Pacman showed he was for real. Gayweather grow some balls and fight the #1 P4P in the world if you want to reclaim that title, I doubt you will!
